East Coast Competition<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\u201cO\u201d beyond limits and without barriers, rediscovering the extraordinary, the nourishing river<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our proposal aims to create a coastal area that will structure the urban fabric, promote integration, revitalize the life of neighboring neighborhoods, and enhance natural environments. Its development will enable relaxation, inspiration, and coexistence. It will create conditions conducive to its reappropriation, revitalization, and revitalization through high-quality public interventions and private investments, taking into account the demands expressed by the population. The objectives are to increase accessibility to the area and the river, democratize its use, develop networks of corridors and urban, green, natural, and recreational-tourism spaces, enable active mobility, ensure universal accessibility, and increase the supply of housing and services. Our proposal is based primarily on the redevelopment of transportation routes, namely:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • the creation of an urban river boulevard for local and regional traffic, marked by east and west gateways, to open up access to the river and create a continuous recreational waterfront strip;<\/li>\n
  • the modernization of Sainte-Anne Boulevard, including the creation of a major public transportation route and an active mobility corridor, to stimulate commercial and social activity and improve access to various sites of interest; and<\/li>\n
  • the creation of road links between these two axes to promote their connectivity and feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Our proposal also includes the development of four distinct areas designed to cater to their users. Housing supply, green and recreational space, and access to the coastline will be significantly increased in each of these areas.<\/p>\n

    The development of the Estimauville sector will promote gentle activities and meditation that nourish the mind. A new intersection and a promontory offering overlook views will provide direct access to the coastline, the Baie-de-Beauport and Maizerets parks will be connected to the new coastal promenade, and a dynamic footbridge will link the two banks of Baie-de-Beauport and allow interaction with the river.<\/p>\n

    The development of the Everell sector will promote social and cultural interactions that nurture knowledge. An elevated green promenade extending toward the river will redevelop the Boulevard des Chutes viaduct, and a third multifunctional space, including a natural and cultural heritage interpretation center with spaces of various sizes, will encourage encounters and stimulate curiosity.<\/p>\n

    The development of the Cimenterie sector will promote activities and sporting and leisure events that nourish the body. A new intersection and a promontory will highlight the entrance to the boulevard, an active link will connect the old wharf to the Pionni\u00e8res-de-Beauport roundabout, and sports and leisure facilities will be more numerous, diverse, and integrated into the river landscape.<\/p>\n

    The development of the Montmorency sector will improve the living environment and highlight the natural attractions of the area that nourish the heart. The environment of the C\u00f4te ponds and Dame-Blanche stream will be improved and their banks developed, a buffer zone will isolate residential areas from transportation infrastructure, the Dame-Blanche waterfall will become accessible, and western access to Montmorency Falls Park will be facilitated.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
